100% NATURAL CORK USED IN THE SPACES OF EUROVISION VILLAGE AND ALSO IN NOS PRIMAVERA SOUND

August 3, 2018

Hundreds of blocks of expanded cork agglomerate, supplied by Amorim Cork Insulation, were the main raw material used in the Eurovision Village lounge, an integral part of the Eurovision Song Contest, which was held for the first time in Lisbon, between 4 and 12 May.

For the first time in the seven-year history of this event, considered to be one of Portugal’s finest music festivals, cork was one of the main materials used in the various venues. Choice of cork – expanded cork agglomerate supplied by Amorim Cork Insulation – was based on the material’s sustainability credentials, given that the festival has strong environmental concerns.
